President Obama, in a major legal policy shift, has directed the Justice Department to stop defending the Defense of Marriage Act - the 1996 law that bars federal recognition of same-sex marriages - against lawsuits challenging it as unconstitutional.

You know I'm not a native English speaker, so you may disagree with me, but frankly, can a question be more confusing than:

Do you want to reject the new law that lets same-sex couples marry and allows individuals and religious groups to refuse to perform these marriages?

In an unprecedented decision, today the city of Recife allowed a gay couple to adopt two sisters, a five and a seven-year-old. In previous adoption cases in the country, only one person had filed. This was the first time in which a homosexual couple filed for adoption together and won the case.
